Enjoy a stimulating wine tasting in Athens for the adults and a grape-tasting for the kids!

Enjoy wine-tasting under the expert guidance of our sommeliers, featuring some of the most famous Greek award-winning wines. Learn all about the world’s oldest Grapevines, explore grape varieties from different regions of Greece, such as Santorini, and learn to identify their subtle differences. The tasting is accompanied by Greek traditional cheeses and cold cuts. You may taste 7 or 5 different wine varieties from several regions of Greece, as well as a Greek spirit or dessert wine at the end of the tasting.

At the same time, in an adjacent but separate space, children have the chance to learn all about grapes; one of the most significant ancient fruit. They learn about Greek Wine History, because the vineyard, the grapes and the wine played always an important role in Greek Mythology and Culture. They taste products like grape must cookies, grape juice, vine, raisins and depending on the season fresh grapes and moustalevria (a traditional dessert containing grapes and flour). Last but not least, they have the opportunity to learn about the process of winemaking; picking, crushing and fermenting the grapes into wine. They participate in drama and sensory games and they use their imagination to contribute in an interesting story- making about grapes.

Before leaving, a “Puthagorean Cup” will be given to the family as a souvenir of their wine and grape-tasting experience and as a symbol of justice and proper sharing!

Wine tasting and the activity for the kids can be comined with a family cooking class. Duration is about 2 hours for the cooking class and count an hour more for the wine tasting. 

How to book

This family tour is ideal for families with children from 3 to 12 years old with 2 play facilitators (additional exclusive educator for babies or toddlers<3 yo). It operates throughout the year and it cannot be booked independently, but as part of a multi-day tailormade trip in Greece.
