Depending on weather conditions and the season, Mount Menalon is rich in mushroom edible varieties, such as the true morels, morchella, pleurotus and others. Together with your mountain guide, an experienced botanologist, you will have the chance to learn and see the different types of edible mushrooms, to distinguish from the dangerous ones, to cook amidst the fir tree forest and to experience the family friendliest paths of the Menalon Trail in the valley of Valtesiniko and the basin of river Mylaon.
All mountain guides are certified, experienced in kids and trained from the Red Cross holding First Aid Certificates.
