Knossos for Kids

Kid Friendly Private Guided Tour at the site of Knossos and the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion

Experience the myth of Knossos with kids and combine this tour with an educational activity designed for kids or an authentic experience with locals close to Heraklion

Start your day from the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion with the guidance of a licensed guide experienced in kids. Continue to the Knossos site, the most important palace of the Minoan civilization. Learn everything about king Minos, the myth of the Labyrinth with the Minotaur, and the story of Daidalos and Icaros.

You can combine the tour in Knossos with the educational activity “Minoan Myths Around Knossos” or a kid-friendly tour of the Heraklion city with a focus on history “The fall of the city crown”. Close to Heraklion and Knossos, you can also take a course on Traditional Soap making, that kids love, and on traditional bread and rusk making

Optional

View the long-lost ancient colors, frescoes, statues and objects of the Minoan Palace of Knossos designed especially for kids using an AR tablet 360º and 3D reconstruction technology. While visiting the vast palace complex you will not only be able to see with your eyes the central palace areas controversially restored by Sir Arthur Evans in the early 20th century, but also with our device the entire palace complex reconstructed, based on the latest scholarly research!

Add-on:

  • AR tablet (minimum 5 per reservation)
  • Tourist guide in the Greek, US and international sign language
